Welcome to Flinders Preschool!

At Flinders Preschool, we are excited to announce that we will continue offering fully funded kinder programs in 2025 for both our 3-year-old and 4-year-old programs! Join our vibrant, play-based community where children not only learn but also build essential skills for life.

2025 Session Times:

• 3-Year-Olds:

  • Tuesday & Friday: 9 AM – 3 PM
  • Wednesday: 1 PM – 4 PM

• 4-Year-Olds:

  • Monday & Thursday: 9 AM – 3 PM
  • Wednesday: 9 AM – 12 PM

At Flinders Preschool, we believe that play is the heart of learning. Our philosophy is simple: children learn best when they are actively exploring their environment. Through play, they develop important skills such as literacy, social interaction, confidence, independence, and creativity.

Learning Through Play

Children at Flinders Preschool engage in active learning, where they think, experiment, and discover the world around them. Some activities are guided by our caring educators, while others are sparked by the children's own curiosity. This blend of self-involvement and self-direction makes learning fun and meaningful.

Play is not just an enjoyable activity; it lays the groundwork for children to become curious learners in the future. Our play-based learning approach has been shown to enhance social skills, creativity, and early literacy and numeracy skills. Everything your child does at our kinder prepares them for their future school journey.

Building Resilience

We understand that building resilience is key to helping children navigate life's challenges. That's why we are thrilled to have received department funding to introduce the Resilience Project into our 4-year-old program. Resilience is also nurtured through our beach kinder program and a variety of engaging play-based activities.

A Sense of Belonging

At Flinders Preschool, we strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where every child feels comfortable and confident. We want all children to feel that they truly belong to our kinder community. We are proud to be an active part of the Flinders township, and families often participate in local events like the Anzac March and the Flinders Art Show. Beach Sessions

One of the highlights of our kindergarten program is our weekly beach sessions. Here, children engage in child-led play in a beautiful beach setting, where they face challenges that help them develop self-awareness and, most importantly, resilience.
