Nestled in the heart of South Melbourne, Lilian Cannam Kindergarten (LCK) has been a cherished part of our community since 1922. We are proud to offer a warm and inviting space for children aged 3 to 5 years to learn and grow.

At LCK, we believe in a unique approach to education that is both socially relevant and intellectually engaging. Our programs are designed to spark curiosity and creativity, allowing children to explore the world around them in a fun and meaningful way.

A Special Place to Play and Learn

One of the highlights of our kindergarten is our large outdoor sanctuary. This beautiful space provides inner-city children with a safe and inspiring environment to play, discover, and connect with nature. We focus on holistic learning, which means we nurture not just the mind, but also the body and spirit of each child.

Community and Connection

We are proud to be part of the Victorian Government's free kindergarten initiative, which allows us to offer up to 15 hours of free kindergarten each week for both our 3-year-old and 4-year-old programs. This initiative helps us ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive in their early years.

Dedicated Team

LCK is managed by a voluntary Committee of Management, and we are fortunate to have a team of qualified early childhood teachers who are passionate about early learning. Our educators work closely with specialists in visual arts, music, and even French, enriching our programs and providing a well-rounded experience for our little learners.
