Welcome to Malak Preschool!

At Malak Primary and Preschool, nestled in the vibrant northern suburbs of Darwin, we are dedicated to helping every child learn and flourish. Our school is a wonderful melting pot of cultures, with around 195 students from Preschool to Year 6. We take pride in our diverse community, where 48% of our students identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

Every day, we embrace the Berry Street Education Model, which is at the heart of our teaching. This approach helps our little learners build important skills like resilience, self-regulation, and character strengths. We believe in nurturing their learning stamina, so they can tackle challenges with confidence.

To make learning even more exciting, we offer a variety of place-based programs that connect our students to their community. Plus, we provide valuable resources for both students and parents to support reading and learning at home.
