Welcome to McDougall Park Community Kindergarten!

At McDougall Park Community Kindergarten (MDK), we have been nurturing young minds for over 50 years! Our kindergarten is a warm and inviting place where children can explore, learn, and grow through play-based activities. We believe that the best way for kids to learn is through hands-on, creative, and active play that they can direct themselves.

A Fun and Engaging Environment

We are proud to offer a screen-free environment for most of our program, encouraging children to get messy and fully engage with the outdoors. Our purpose-built facility features an open-plan kindy room, which was beautifully renovated in 2019 to create a bright and welcoming space for our little learners.

Outside, the fun continues! Our kindergarten boasts:

• A treehouse for imaginative play
• A new playground built in 2020
• Mosey Island, completed in 2021, for adventurous exploration
• A fairy garden that sparks creativity
• Flower and veggie gardens to learn about nature
• A bike path for active play and fun rides

Important Information

To join our kindergarten, children must be 4 years old by June 30 of the kindergarten year. We keep our classes small, with a maximum of 20 children per class and up to 40 children each year. Our standard class times are from 9 am to 3 pm, and students attend five full days every fortnight.

MDK is proud to be part of the Community Kindergarten Association, and we have a special connection with our link school, Curtin Primary School.
