Welcome to Netherby Kindergarten!

Nestled on beautiful Kaurna land, Netherby Kindergarten proudly acknowledges the Kaurna people as the first custodians of this special place. Here, we believe that every child is unique, and our play-based curriculum is designed to celebrate that individuality. We follow the Belonging, Being, Becoming framework, which guides our approach to early learning in Australia.

What We Offer:

• A Focus on Learning: Our program emphasizes essential skills like literacy and numeracy, while also nurturing a love for music and sustainability. We help children build resilience and learn to work together through collaborative activities.
• Nature Play: At Netherby, we cherish the outdoors! Our kindergarten encourages children to explore, run, climb, and build in natural spaces. This hands-on experience fosters a deep connection with nature and promotes healthy, active play.
• Family Involvement: We warmly invite parents to be part of our community! There are many ways to get involved, whether it’s reading stories, leading fun activities, or joining us on exciting excursions.
• Support Services: We understand that every child has different needs. That’s why we offer a range of support services, including special educators, speech pathologists, social workers, psychologists, and bilingual support. This ensures that every child receives a tailored educational program.

Enrollment Information:

We have two intakes each year:

• Children who turn 4 years old before May 1 can start at the beginning of the year.
• Children who turn 4 years old between May 1 and October 31 can begin at the start of Term 3.

Our session times are from Monday to Wednesday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. For those needing a little extra time in the morning, we offer early care starting at 8:15 am for just $5 per session. Extended care can also be arranged with our Kindergarten Director.

Join Our Playgroup!

Every Friday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, we host a playgroup in our outdoor environment for just $5 per child. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to get familiar with our learning space, develop a sense of belonging, and ease into their kindergarten journey. It’s also a great chance for families to connect with one another and build relationships with our dedicated educators.
