At Family Place, we believe that every family deserves support and care. As a non-profit organization, we are dedicated to providing a wide range of family-centered programs and services across the beautiful Cape Breton Island.

Our Programs

We offer a variety of programs designed to help families from the very beginning of their journey:

• Prenatal Programs: Preparing for your little one’s arrival.
• Breastfeeding Information and Support: Helping you nurture your baby.
• Baby Talk/Wee Ones: Engaging activities for your tiny tots.
• Parent Education Programs: Learning together as parents.
• Play Groups: Fun and socializing for kids and parents alike.
• Read with Me: Encouraging a love for reading.
• Sensory Play: Exploring the world through touch and play.
• Tumble Bugs: Active play for little movers.
• Music and Movement: Dancing and singing together.

Home Visiting Programs

We also offer special Home Visiting Programs to support families in their own homes:

• Enhanced Home Visiting: Tailored support for families with newborns.
• Parenting Journey Home Visiting: Guidance for families with children up to 18 years old.

The best part? All of our programs and services are free of charge! We are here to help parents and caregivers every step of the way, from pregnancy through to the teenage years.
