Welcome to Hazeldean School!

At Hazeldean School, we are proud to have a vibrant community of 140 students ranging from kindergarten to grade six. Our school is a place where every child can thrive and grow!

Special Support for Every Learner

We understand that every child is unique, which is why we offer our Interactions Program. This special program is designed for students in grades 1 to 6 who are on the autism spectrum and need a little extra support. Our dedicated team is here to help them shine!

Pre-Kindergarten: A Playful Start

For our youngest learners, we have a wonderful Pre-Kindergarten program. Here, children with severe delays can explore and learn in a play-based, language-rich environment. We believe that play is the best way to learn!

Who Can Join?

Our programming is available for children who qualify for PUF funding (for severe delays) and are between 2 years and 8 months to 4 years and 8 months old by September 1. We welcome all little ones who meet these criteria!

A Team of Caring Professionals

In each classroom, your child will be supported by a fantastic team of professionals, including:

• Teachers
• Educational Assistants
• Consultants such as Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists.

Together, we focus on developing important skills like communication, fine motor, gross motor, and social skills to prepare your child for a successful transition to kindergarten.

Transitioning to Kindergarten

As your child grows and is ready, they will smoothly transition into their community kindergartens, where they can continue their learning journey.
