At P.L.A.Y., we believe that learning should be fun! Located in the heart of the Kensington area in Calgary, our licensed, not-for-profit daycare is dedicated to nurturing young minds through the power of play. We proudly follow FLIGHT: Alberta’s Early Learning Curriculum Framework, which guides our approach to early childhood education.

Our Programs

We offer three engaging programs tailored to different age groups:

• Infant Program (6-19 months)
• Toddler Program (19-36 months)
• Preschool Program (3-6 years)

Each program is designed to spark curiosity and encourage exploration in a safe and loving environment.

A Home Away from Home

P.L.A.Y. is nestled within the welcoming walls of Hillhurst United Church, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere. While we are located in a church, our operations are completely secular, ensuring a diverse and inclusive space for all families.

Daily Routine

We understand that every child is unique, which is why we offer a predictable yet flexible daily routine. This allows children to enjoy a sense of security while also catering to their individual preferences and encouraging independent choices.

Parent Involvement

At P.L.A.Y., we value the important role parents play in their child's development. We ask for 12 hours of volunteer time per year from our families, fostering a strong community spirit and connection.

Fundraising for a Bright Future

To keep our fees low and accessible for everyone, we organize fun fundraising events throughout the year. This way, we can continue to provide high-quality care and education for all children.
