At Happy Feet Childcare, we believe that every child deserves a joyful and nurturing environment to grow and learn. Located in the heart of Castlerea, Co. Roscommon, we have been proudly serving our community since September 2011.

Our Locations

We offer our childcare services across two convenient locations: Knockroe and Tarmon National School. Both sites are fully registered with Tusla, ensuring that we meet the highest standards of care and education.

Who We Cater To

Our doors are open to children aged 2 years and 6 months up to 12 years. We are especially excited to provide a free preschool year for little ones between 2 years and 10 months and 4 years and 6 months.

Operating Hours

We are here for you Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, for 50 weeks a year. This means you can count on us to be there when you need us!

Our Play-Based Curriculum

At Happy Feet, we know that play is the best way for children to learn. Our play-based curriculum follows the Aistear and Siolta quality standards, focusing on early childhood development through fun and engaging activities.

Our Environment

Preschool Sessions

Our preschool sessions run at:

• Tarmon: 9:15 am to 12:15 pm
• Knockroe: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
  Children have access to a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities, making every day an adventure!

Afterschool Club

Our afterschool club is designed to keep your child engaged with organized activities and homework supervision. Plus, our full day care service is available during non-term time and school holidays, so you can have peace of mind knowing your child is in good hands.

Financial Support

We understand that childcare can be a significant expense, which is why we are proud to offer the National Childcare Scheme (NCS) to families, helping to reduce childcare costs.
