Centro Social Paroquial Carvalhido is a private social solidarity institution located in Porto, Portugal. Founded in 1941, it has a long history of providing community services. The Escola Infantil de Nazaré was established on January 7, 1952, to educate preschool-aged children. In 1957, it became the Centro Paroquial de Assistência e Formação Social, do Carvalhido, focusing on educational and material assistance for those in need. The institution was renamed in 1982 to Centro Social Paroquial do Carvalhido and expanded its services to include daycare, kindergarten, after-school care (ATL), and a community center. In 1995, the Projeto Vida was launched to help prevent drug use among youth through healthy activities. Today, it offers daycare, preschool, and a community center for the elderly.
