Creche da Graça is a welcoming preschool and daycare that has been serving the community since 1969. It is part of the Fundação Maria do Carmo Roque Pereira, which was established in 1955 to provide social assistance to families in need, focusing on offering a Catholic education to children.

Community Support

Creche da Graça partners with Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome to support over 50 families in the Freguesia de São Vicente each week. This support is available to families who meet certain criteria:

• Residence in the Freguesia de São Vicente (including former freguesias of Graça, Santa Engrácia, and São Vicente de Fora).
• Low family income.
• Prolonged unemployment.
• Situations of imprisonment, death, illness, separation, or abandonment.
• Situations of disaster.
• Currently not receiving food support from any other partner institution of Banco Alimentar.
