Overview
Kindergarten Reggio Emilia is a preschool and daycare that follows the Reggio Emilia approach, a unique educational philosophy developed by Loris Malaguzzi in Italy after World War II. This approach emphasizes that children are active participants in their own learning, encouraging them to explore and express their thoughts and feelings through various activities.
The school fosters a strong connection with families and the community, encouraging participation in projects and activities. For example, during a recent project, first-year students explored emotions using the book Sentimentos by Libby Walden and Richard Jones, identifying 26 different emotions and expressing them through drawings. Families were invited to participate in a creative task during the Carnival break.
The Secretaria operates from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:45 PM, providing assistance with enrollment, fee payments, and parent meetings.
At Kindergarten Reggio Emilia, children are encouraged to learn through exploration, creativity, and community involvement. The school provides a nurturing environment where each child's story is valued, and their learning journey is supported.
