General Information - CUMNS Kids

Welcome to CUMNS Kids!

At CUMNS Kids, we believe that every child is a little explorer, ready to discover the world around them! As a proud weekday ministry of Castleton United Methodist Church, we are dedicated to nurturing young minds and hearts.

Our Programs

We offer a warm and welcoming environment for children starting from just six weeks old all the way through PreK. Our programs are designed to be fun and engaging, allowing children to learn through play.

Learning Through Play

We use a play-based emergent curriculum that encourages creativity and curiosity. Our approach is aligned with the Foundations to the Indiana Academic Standards for Young Children from Birth to Age 5, ensuring that your child is not only having fun but also learning important skills along the way.

Quality You Can Trust

CUMNS Kids is proud to be a Paths to QUALITY Level 4 school, which means we meet the highest standards in early childhood education. We have also been nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since 1988, a testament to our commitment to providing exceptional care and education.

Join us at CUMNS Kids, where every day is an adventure in learning!

Over 50% of teachers have at least a CDA credential or higher. A CDA is equivalent to 12 college credits in Early Childhood Education. Most preschool teachers have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. The staff that do not meet these qualifications have a high school diploma and extensive experience in childcare.
