Nestled in the heart of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dolores Gonzales Elementary School is a vibrant public elementary school that is proud to be part of the Albuquerque Public Schools district. What makes us truly special? We are the first school in the district to introduce a Dual Language Program!

At Dolores Gonzales, we believe in the power of language. Our Dual Language Immersion Program offers students the unique opportunity to learn in both English and Spanish. This exciting program is designed to help our young learners become bilingual and biliterate, while also fostering a deep appreciation for different cultures.

Achieve Bilingual Excellence

We also offer a fantastic pathway for students to earn the Bilingual Seal. This means that as they progress through their education, they can achieve a District Seal and the State of New Mexico Bilingualism and Biliteracy Seal in Spanish, Native American languages, or even other world languages! It’s a wonderful way for our students to showcase their language skills and cultural knowledge.
