At Happy Day Christian Child Care, we believe that every child deserves a joyful and nurturing environment to grow and learn. Since 1970, our non-profit Christian organization has been dedicated to providing exceptional childcare and early education to families in Portland and the surrounding areas.

Who We Are

We offer year-round care for children aged 2.5 years to Kindergarten, and we even have supplemental care available for kids up to age 12! Our community is vibrant and diverse, with children and staff from various backgrounds. Many of our wonderful teachers are bilingual, enriching the learning experience for everyone.

Our Approach

At Happy Day, we focus on a Christ-centered approach to care and education. Our structured learning environment encourages creative play and stimulating activities, all while instilling biblical principles in our daily routines. We are proud to be licensed by the State of Oregon and to participate in the SPARK program, which is Oregon's Quality Rating & Improvement System. Additionally, we are a member school of the Association of Christian Schools International.
