Nestled in the heart of San Francisco, Montessori House of Children (MHoC) has been a cherished part of our community since 1976. We are proud to offer a nurturing and engaging preschool experience for your little ones, focusing on the unique Montessori approach to learning.

Our Programs

At MHoC, we cater to children in two age groups:

• Toddlers (1-3 years)
• Primary/TK level (3-6 years)

We also provide extended day-care options to accommodate busy families, ensuring your child has a safe and stimulating environment throughout the day.

Our Philosophy

We believe in the holistic development of each child. Our programs are designed to prepare them for kindergarten while fostering essential skills such as:

• Social and emotional growth
• Language development
• Cognitive skills
• Gross and fine motor skills

Through the Montessori method, children learn at their own pace, exploring their interests and developing a love for learning.

Individualized Attention

At MHoC, we understand that every child is unique. That’s why we maintain low child-to-teacher ratios, allowing our dedicated staff to provide individualized attention to each child. Our team is diverse and speaks multiple languages, including Spanish, Mandarin, Ukrainian, and Afrikaans, making our environment welcoming for all families.
