Sheldon Early Childhood Academy

Welcome to Sheldon Early Childhood Academy!

Sheldon Early Childhood Academy has a rich history, having first opened its doors in 1974 as Sheldon Junior High. Over the years, it has transformed and adapted, serving as an Intermediate campus for 5th and 6th graders, and later as a dedicated 6th grade campus. Today, we proudly stand as the second Early Childhood Academy for Sheldon ISD, nurturing approximately 600 little learners in Pre-K and Kindergarten from the Eastern and Northern parts of our district.

In 2009, we took a big step forward by opening the Sheldon Early Childhood Learning Center right here on our campus. This center is a wonderful resource for our district employees, providing childcare for their children from infants to 4 years old. For our curious 3 and 4-year-olds, we offer foundational instruction that mirrors our engaging Pre-K program, ensuring that every child is ready to embark on their educational journey.
