The Children's School

Welcome to The Children's School!

At The Children's School, we believe that every child deserves a warm and nurturing environment where they can grow and thrive. Since 1965, our non-profit, half-day preschool has been dedicated to helping children develop a strong sense of belonging and confidence.

Our Approach

We use a play-based approach to learning, which means that your child will explore, discover, and learn through play! Our focus is on building important skills such as:

• Empathy: Understanding and caring for others.
• Conflict Resolution: Learning how to solve problems peacefully.
• Problem-Solving: Encouraging creativity and critical thinking.

Who We Serve

We welcome children aged 2.5 to 6 years old into our preschool program, and we also offer exciting summer camp programs for children aged 3 to 9 years old. One of the best parts? We do not require children to be toilet trained, so every child can join in the fun!

Schedule

Our classes run from 9 AM to 1 PM, from September through June, mostly following the Seattle Public School calendar.

You can find us in the beautiful Green Lake neighborhood of Seattle, where we have two convenient locations to serve your family.
