Nestled in the heart of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Burbank Early Childhood School (BECS) has been a beloved part of our community since 1983. For over 40 years, we have proudly provided high-quality childcare and early education to families, making us a cornerstone of the neighborhood.

Our Programs

At BECS, we offer two wonderful programs designed to meet the needs of our young learners:

• Early Intervention Program: This special program is for children aged 3 to kindergarten who have an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). It’s available free of charge to residents of Upper Arlington and includes a variety of services such as itinerant support, integrated preschool classrooms, and public school preschool special education.

• Full-Day Preschool Program: For families looking for a tuition-based option, our full-day preschool program is perfect! Open to families both within and outside of Upper Arlington, this program runs from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. We offer flexible enrollment options, allowing you to choose between five, three, or two days a week.

At BECS, we believe that learning should be a joyful and collaborative experience. That’s why we embrace an Emergent Curriculum, where teachers and students work together to explore and discover. Our focus is on building strong relationships, sparking curiosity, and nurturing a well-rounded understanding of literacy.

We also prioritize social-emotional development. Our practices include:

• A school-wide PBIS model (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports)
