Nestled in the heart of the McKinley Park Community on the Southwest side of Chicago, the Velma Thomas Early Childhood Center is a vibrant place where young minds blossom! As part of the Chicago Public School Child Parent Center program, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for your little ones.

Our Classrooms

We proudly offer seven half-day classrooms that cater to children aged 3 to 4 years. Our classrooms are designed to be multilingual, celebrating the diverse backgrounds of our children and fostering a love for language and culture.

A Caring Community

Each classroom is home to seventeen curious children, guided by a team of two or three dedicated teaching professionals. Our teachers are not just educators; they are Illinois certified early childhood specialists who are passionate about helping children learn and grow.
