Cintra Tribus: A Nature-Inspired Preschool/Daycare

Cintra Tribus is a welcoming preschool and daycare located in a beautiful 8000m² pine forest at R. Alto do Pedregal, 2710-416 Sintra. Our mission is to inspire children and families to live in harmony with nature through play and exploration. We provide a space for autonomous play and creative activities without pre-structured programs.

Programs Offered

We offer a variety of engaging programs:

• Daily Groups: Children explore natural spaces and work on projects based on their interests and development.
• Saturdays in the Tribe: Enjoy two-hour sessions of outdoor play in the forest. The first visit is free!
• Holiday Programs: Fun-filled weeks during holidays for children from different schools and age groups.
• School Visits: We welcome school groups for play and learning activities.
• Birthday Parties: Celebrate special days outdoors with fun activities like mud kitchens and arts.

Age Requirements

• There is no specific minimum age; however, children must be able to walk independently.

Meals

• Healthy meals are provided by the Root Food Project, offering vegan and vegetarian options.

Facilities

• We have a cozy space for children to take naps, supervised by adults.

Family Participation

• Families are encouraged to join their children during initial visits.

What to Bring

• Comfortable clothing, a hat for sun protection, waterproof clothing for rain, a water bottle, and a small snack.

First Visit

• We offer a free experimental visit for families to experience our environment.

Birthday Parties Details

• Duration: 3 hours (or more)
• Included: Team of monitors, decorated space, digital invitations, activity insurance, and optional catering.
• Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 – 13:00 or 14:00 – 17:00.
• Booking Requirements: Minimum cost of 200€, with details needed for booking.

Visiting Information for Schools

• Schools can arrange visits for their students. Reservations are required for transportation.
• Schedule:
  • Midday Visit: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Full Day Visit: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Pricing:
  • Day Visit: 12€ for 1 visit, 44€ for 4 visits, 80€ for 8 visits.
  • Midday Visit: 9€ for 1 visit, 32€ for 4 visits, 60€ for 8 visits.

Our Team

• Our dedicated team includes educators trained in early childhood education, music, yoga, artistic expression, and education management. We focus on outdoor education inspired by the Forest School methodology, promoting trust, leadership, and empathy among children of different ages.
